The concept behind my piece is bringing disney's animated charaters to life but in a modern way as high schoolers. In every picture I have you can find their name. I took both their original attire and personality in to the picture when I picked out the layout and out fit for them. I wanted them to look a little like senior pictures.

s she wanted to show something that was in fact not human but looks like a human doing everyday things. it makes it very powerful that it is a woman showing that in some cases woman are in fact seen as something other than human just a "Love Doll".

Blog prompt questions
1. In what ways do you “construct” your identity? In what ways do you “perform” in your daily life?
I don't really do anything to myself. I try my best to just be me!
2. Describe some ways in which your personal culture and social environments are “constructed”.
In each social environment is constructed depending on who I'm talking to.
3. Describe some ways in which your physical environment/space is “constructed”.
In my room I have organized piles of things...
4. In your daily life, what would you consider to be “real” and what would you consider to be “constructed/fabricated”?
I would conveyer the choices I make to be real. But some people I'm around I would say they are fabricated.
5. Describe a narrative tableaux that you might create to be captured by a photograph. A narrative tableaux can be defined as “Several human actors play out scenes from everyday life, history, myth or the fantasy of the direction artist”
I am doing disney characters as modern day teens in their senior portraits.
6. Describe an idea for a photograph that includes a miniature stage or still life. A description of such an image is “The tableaux reconstructs events as in the narrative tableaux, but in miniaturized format, using dolls and other toy objects”
A crime scene in Barbies dream house it would be fairly easy to do considering you would just use barbies a few of the accessories and kitchen appliances along with the dream house.

My concept for each photo differs. The girl with the duck is her masking her age not with makeup but with the things she has. The duck being something for kids along with the over sized bow. The second photo is of someone who I love very much and in the photo it captures both her youth and how adult she is. The next girl with the flapper style hair and accessories is a blast to the past. One that is a both beautiful and ugly. The last picture of the girl is both modern and old showing that she is not from one time or the other but both. Making her a true essence of beauty.
